Description |
Cloisonne and zinc radiator cap for a 1925 Peerless automobile. Peerless Motor Car Co. of Cleveland began making 2-cylinder cars in 1902. By 1905 they were manufacturing luxury cars. The Depression brought the end of the Peerless automobiles, and the last one was produced in 1931. The badge is circular with a 2 ¼" diameter. The outer metal rim has a modified Greek key design. The center has ribbed green enamel with a large brass eagle perched atop the Peerless name. In the center of the eagle is a red, white, and blue enamel shield. Green enamel is scratched, chipped and missing in some places. Fair condition. Location: Museum storage or display. |
