Description |
Hexagonal brass radiator cover from Brush Motor Co. (Brush Runabout Co.) of Detroit. The company was founded in 1907 by Alanson Partridge Brush and produced a light runabout auto on a wooden chassis. The company produced about 13,250 cars by the time it closed in 1913. In 1912, Sid Ferguson drove a Brush across the Australian continent from west to east, becoming the first person to do so. The cap is 1 ½ X 1 5/8". Raised letters spell the name of the company with the B and H being smaller than the other letters. Scratched and dented. Fair condition. Location: Museum storage or display. |
