Description |
Enamel on copper car emblem for a Rockne automobile. Rockne's were produced in South Bend, IN from 1932-33 and were named for Notre Dame coach Knute Rockne. Due to the Depression, the car was not successful. Unsold vehicles were sent to Norway as kits and assembled there. The emblem is Art Deco style and 2" long. The Studebaker logo is in the center of the royal blue background. Copper is showing through chipped enamel above the mounting hole. Good condition. Location: Museum storage or display. |
